• 13/10/2007: Canberra VW cruise

  Meet at 14:00 for a 14:30 departure at the Russel Carpark (where we meet for other events) - contact us if you need more details!
  Cruise will be local and not too long, dubs to be in types
  Finish at local picnic spot, where we can all chat and check out the cars
  Sausage sandwiches will be cooked, gold coin donation please
  For any club VeeDub members wearing their club T-shirt no donation is necessary
  Soft drinks will be on sale
  Plenty of time to return home to polish your car in readiness for Sunday!

• 14/10/2007: German Autofest 2007

  The day is set for this year's german autofest. Check the event web site closer to the date for more details.
  VW entries accepted from 08:00
  It would be appreciated if everyone could be present by 09:00 (although we realise this may not be possible for interstate attendees)
  Held at Rond Terraces, at the bottom of Anzac Parade, on the foreshore of lake Burley Griffin. Enter at the gate beside Blundell's Cottage (there is a map on the Autofest website
  Follow the directions of marshals
  All VW are to register at the VW tent - no free parking!
  To save time, you can fill in the registration form and bring it (completed) on the day - find it here.
  All car to have a drip tray, no matter what condition your engine is in. This can even be a piece of cardboard or similar.
  Registration will cost you $5 (correct money would be appreciated, if you ar able)
  All registered VWs will be in the running for the club trophies (announcement time will be posted for viewing)
  Autofest finishes around 15:00, however if you need to leave earlier, please let us know
  Either bring your lunch of buy it from the food and drink stalls
  Main rule - come, view the cars, meet new people and enjoy yourself!

If you are in the Canberra region and you are keen in joining us, please send an email to dimitris [at] classicvw [dot] net. We are a chapter of the Sydney based Club VeeDub so in order to join us you need to join Club Veedub. Of course that entitles you access to all club benefits (such as the monthlly magazine Zeitschrift) besides participation in the local Canberra events.
